Michael Cady Obituary, Death – A double shooting near the Oak Grove Fire Department on Monday left one man dead and another recovering in the hospital, according to authorities. The incident, which occurred around 5 p.m., prompted an investigation by the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
The deceased victim has been identified as Michael Cady. The shooting reportedly took place in the backyard of a residence, where two men became involved in a disagreement that escalated into a gunfight. A woman, whose son was a Boy Scout working on a project at the fire department at the time, provided immediate aid to the victim before deputies could arrive. The other man involved in the shooting was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.
