According to Chief Deputy Jeff Stanley, Greer’s body was found during the early morning hours of December 14 inside a vehicle located along County Road 500 South, west of Indiana 3. The discovery prompted an extensive investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Earlier this month, an elderly Shelbyville resident told local media that the victim was Greer and stated that Greer was his son. Officials later confirmed this information through forensic testing.
