Michael Leif – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in northeast Lincoln. According to the Lincoln Police Department, first responders were dispatched around 9:15 a.m. to the intersection of Cornhusker Highway and Russell Circle after reports of a crash. Multiple emergency vehicles, including fire trucks and police cruisers, responded to the scene.
Police identified the driver as 67-year-old Michael Leif of Lincoln. Preliminary investigation indicates that the white pickup truck he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Leif was pronounced deceased at the scene, authorities confirmed. No other injuries were reported.
