Nolan King Obituary, Death – Two teenagers have been detained in connection with the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Nolan King in South Miami. The incident occurred on Sunday around 5:30 p.m. outside an apartment complex located at SW 64th Street and 59th Place.
According to police, the shooting followed an argument involving King and two other men. Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin stated that the individuals involved were acquainted with one another and were together at the location before the altercation escalated.
Law enforcement responded to a call reporting the shooting and provided a description of a potential suspect vehicle. Shortly after, officers located the getaway car near South Dixie Highway and SW 104th Street. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the two suspects fled on foot. Officers pursued and eventually detained the suspects, identified as an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which left the community shaken. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
