The shooting occurred around 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Davis Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Oscar Alberto Umanzor Lopez, a resident of the home, lying in the driveway with gunshot wounds. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that Lopez was the victim of the shooting. Investigators quickly moved to find the suspect and a witness leaving a nearby residence. The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Caspian Swinney, was detained but suffered a medical emergency during questioning and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

By Monday morning, Swinney was arrested and charged with murder, according to jail records. Homicide detectives believe the shooting occurred after an argument and physical altercation between Lopez and Swinney. During the confrontation, Swinney allegedly fired a handgun, shooting Lopez multiple times. The case is being actively investigated by Fort Worth police, with further details expected as the investigation unfolds.
