Pablo Nunez Obituary, Death – A 45-year-old man was killed while cutting down a tree at his home in northern Jefferson County on Saturday.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Pablo Nunez. Authorities said he was struck by the falling tree while working on his property.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies and Gardendale Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Neely Road. Despite emergency efforts, Nunez was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:28 p.m., according to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
Officials have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the accident. The incident remains under investigation.
