Payton Dixon III Obituary, Death – A Virginia man died after being struck by a car during a fight at a red light, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). The victim was identified as 29-year-old Payton Dixon III of Winchester. The deadly incident took place on June 23 at the intersection of Route 522 South and Maranto Manor Drive in Frederick County. Authorities said it followed an earlier dispute that started in another location.
According to investigators, Dixon exited his vehicle at the red light and began physically fighting with another man, later identified as Michael Jackson of Alexandria. Witnesses reported that during the confrontation, Jackson pulled out a gun and punched Dixon, knocking him to the ground.
While Dixon was on the ground, a third vehicle — a black 2013 Chrysler 200 — approached and struck him, pinning him between the Chrysler and another stopped car at the intersection. The driver of the Chrysler was identified as 30-year-old Jacques Blemur of Front Royal.
Investigators determined that Dixon, Jackson, and Blemur all knew one another and that the incident was connected to a prior disagreement. Based on the evidence, deputies believe that Blemur intentionally struck Dixon with his vehicle.
Both Jackson and Blemur were later located by authorities and taken into custody. They now face several criminal charges, though specific charges have not been detailed at this time. The case remains under investigation by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
