Quayvion Miller, Keonte Jackie Mosley Shooting – In the early hours of Sunday morning, a police chase in Huntsville resulted in the arrest of two individuals connected to a reported shooting incident. The Huntsville Police Department responded swiftly after receiving a call about a possible shooting in progress on Hammonds Avenue, just before 6 a.m.
Officers quickly arrived at the scene and spotted suspects fleeing in a vehicle. A pursuit was initiated as the suspects attempted to escape. The chase ended near the University of Alabama in Huntsville campus, at the intersection of Sparkman Drive and Holmes Avenue. When the vehicle stopped, the suspects exited and tried to run on foot, but police apprehended them shortly thereafter.
The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Quayvion Miller and 18-year-old Keonte Jackie Mosley. During the investigation, officers recovered evidence from the vehicle that directly connected the pair to the shooting on Hammonds Avenue. Thankfully, no injuries were reported from the incident, despite the fact that the residence targeted was occupied at the time and multiple shots had been fired.
Following interviews by the Criminal Investigations Division, Miller and Mosley were formally charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. The swift actions of the Huntsville Police Department not only led to their arrest but also prevented further potential harm to the community. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information regarding the case.
