Romeo Mason Fleck, Charles Jackson – Authorities in Harnett County have released the names of three individuals who died in a head-on crash early Saturday morning on NC Highway 87.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. near Broadway Road, involving a Toyota Camry and a Chevy Z71 pickup truck.
Troopers confirmed that the driver and one passenger in the Camry, both stationed at Fort Bragg, were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 22-year-old Romeo Mason Fleck and 21-year-old Charles Jackson.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck, 28-year-old William Tyler Underwood of Sanford, also died as a result of the crash.
A third passenger in the Camry, identified as Aydrian LaRusch, was initially transported to Womack Army Medical Center. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to another medical facility and remains in critical condition.
Authorities stated that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further details regarding contributing factors have been released at this time.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that the investigation remains active and are reviewing evidence to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
