Scott Robinson Obituary, Death – A man was fatally shot and involved in a rollover crash early Friday morning in Oak Park, according to local police. The incident occurred just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Roosevelt and Ridgeland. Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire and a car accident.

A witness, who was at a nearby gas station, told police they saw a potential suspect shooting into a white 2013 Jaguar XJ that was traveling along Roosevelt Road. According to the witness, the Jaguar continued westbound before crashing. When the witness looked back, the shooter had fled the area.

Upon arriving at the crash site, authorities found the overturned Jaguar, which had apparently struck a cement barricade and a tree. The man, later identified as 34-year-old Scott Robinson of Chicago, was removed from the vehicle. He was critically injured and transported to Loyola University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators have indicated that the shooting may have been targeted. They found at least 11 shell casings at the scene, suggesting a significant amount of gunfire. At this point, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force has joined in the effort to investigate the case.
