Sean Collins Obituary, Death – Toronto police have released the identity of the man who was fatally stabbed during a violent altercation at a City Place condo on Thursday, while also charging a suspect in connection to the incident.
The altercation occurred inside an apartment located near the intersection of Fort York Boulevard and Dan Leckie Way. Police say the two men involved, aged 34 and 33, got into a heated argument, which quickly escalated into violence. During the confrontation, both individuals allegedly stabbed each other.
Upon receiving the emergency call, police and paramedics responded to the scene and found the two men suffering from life-threatening stab wounds. They were both rushed to the hospital, but tragically, one of the men succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was identified as 34-year-old Sean Collins, marking the 77th homicide in Toronto for the year.
The second man, 33-year-old Brian Kelneric, also sustained injuries and remains in the hospital. He has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Collins’ death. Authorities have yet to disclose the details of what led to the argument between the two men, though they confirmed that the two were known to each other.
