Shaniqua Kinnard Obituary, Death – A man has been formally charged in connection with the death of a 30-year-old woman who was found deceased over the weekend on Chicago’s South Side. According to authorities, police discovered the body on Friday inside a residence located in the 13000-block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.
The victim was identified as Shaniqua Kinnard by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Initially, the Chicago Police Department launched a death investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Kinnard’s passing. However, developments over the following days led investigators to treat the case as a homicide.
On Sunday, just three days after Kinnard’s body was found, police arrested 30-year-old Jarve Toms-Dixon, a resident of Chicago. Authorities later announced that Toms-Dixon had been formally charged with one count of murder in connection with Kinnard’s death.
At this time, officials have not disclosed the exact cause of Kinnard’s death, and further forensic results may be pending. The circumstances leading up to the discovery of her body have also not been publicly detailed.
