Tawon Tribble Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified 13-year-old Tawon Tribble as the victim of a fatal shooting inside a home in Englewood on Monday evening.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 6:43 p.m. in the 500 block of West 65th Place. Tribble was inside the residence when a firearm was discharged, striking him in the chest. Emergency responders rushed him to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Outside the hospital, emotions ran high as Tribble’s family struggled with grief. Pastor Donovan Price, who prayed with them, expressed sorrow over yet another young life lost to violence. “Our children deserve better. Too many families are mourning, too many mothers are crying,” Price said.

Family members described Tribble as a beloved child who did not deserve such a tragic fate.

Meanwhile, detectives are questioning a person of interest as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether an arrest has been made or provided additional details on what led to the shooting.
