The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who died in a shooting on Valentine’s Day. Officials reported that 25-year-old Trevon Elmore, of Saint George, was fatally shot at a residence during a quarrel around 7:19 a.m. on February 14, according to Coroner Paul Brouthers.

Elmore’s body is scheduled for an autopsy at the Medical University of South Carolina on Monday morning, authorities said.

The shooting remains under investigation by the coroner’s office in collaboration with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement officials are working to gather evidence and interview witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
