Vanessa Gonzalez-Gabriel, Abdias Gabriel-Fernandez Obituary, Death – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the names of three individuals who tragically lost their lives in a fatal crash near Lancaster after being ejected from their vehicle. The victims, identified as 38-year-old Vanessa Gonzalez-Gabriel, 49-year-old Abdias Gabriel-Fernandez, and 12-year-old Ruby Gabriel, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, at approximately 4:25 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 138 (also known as West Avenue D) and 110th Street West in Antelope Acres, an unincorporated community in the Antelope Valley region, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Authorities reported that the three victims were traveling in a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, which was stopped at a stop sign before suddenly accelerating into the path of an oncoming Dodge Ram 3500. The impact was severe, and all three victims were thrown from the Chevrolet as a result of the crash.

Another child who was in the Chevrolet at the time of the crash was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where they were rushed into emergency surgery. The driver of the Dodge Ram sustained only minor injuries and was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.

The crash was captured on camera by a nearby vehicle, which has been reviewed by investigators. Based on the video evidence and the results of the investigation, the California Highway Patrol confirmed that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the crash.

This tragic accident was one of two major collisions that took place in the Lancaster area on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, a separate incident involved a public transit bus headed to Rosamond. That crash happened along Sierra Highway near Avenue C when the bus veered off the road and overturned onto railroad tracks. According to officials, the driver of the bus was critically injured after being struck by an object that pierced the windshield, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and flip onto its side.

Approximately 30 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Around 15 of them sustained injuries, but most were not seriously hurt. Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist those involved.

Both collisions have left the community in mourning and have raised concerns about road safety in the Antelope Valley region. The names of those killed in the pickup truck crash serve as a painful reminder of how quickly lives can be lost in traffic incidents. Investigators are continuing to review all details related to both crashes to understand the full circumstances surrounding each event.

Authorities urge drivers to remain alert and cautious, especially at rural intersections like the one where the fatal pickup crash occurred.
