Victor Ekozeme Obituary, Death – A deadly shooting in Manor on Friday has left one person dead and another injured, with the shooter still at large. Austin police responded to a call near Wildhorse Ranch Trail and State Highway 130 after reports of a vehicle being shot at. Upon arrival, officers discovered a car in a ditch and two individuals with gunshot wounds.
The victim, 19-year-old Victor Ekozeme, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other passenger was transported to the hospital and later released. Police learned that Ekozeme and the second person had arrived at a nearby apartment complex when an unidentified shooter began firing into their car, striking both individuals.
After being shot, Ekozeme attempted to drive away from the area but lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a ditch. The suspects fled in another vehicle and have yet to be apprehended. Authorities suspect the shooting may have been targeted and consider the incident to be isolated.
