According to law enforcement, officers were initially dispatched around 11 p.m. Saturday night in response to a report of a traffic accident on the 900 block of East Irving Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered a man behind the wheel suffering from multiple stab wounds. That man was later confirmed to be Brooks, who was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Investigators have since arrested a 19-year-old man from Fond du Lac in connection with the incident. The suspect is currently in custody and being held on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide. Police have not yet released his name due to the ongoing investigation.
