Wayne Silveira Obituary, Death News – A 77-year-old man has died after being pulled from the water at the Fairhaven Boat Launch on Tuesday, according to authorities. The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office reported that emergency crews from Fairhaven Police and EMS responded to a 911 call around 5 p.m. about a potential drowning incident at the boat ramp on Seaview Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered that the victim, identified as Wayne Silveira, had already been removed from the water and was unresponsive. A bystander was administering CPR in an effort to revive him.
Silveira was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but despite the efforts of emergency personnel and medical staff, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
At this time, officials say there is no indication of foul play in connection to Silveira’s death. The incident is currently under investigation by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office in coordination with the Fairhaven Police Department.
