William Piechocniski, Otis Hawks II Obituary, Death – Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the deaths of three people at a home in Warren County, Tennessee. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department (WCSD) confirmed the arrests following a multi-agency investigation. The tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday morning when deputies responded to a call about a deceased man at a residence in the 900 block of Merry Oaks Road around 8:50 a.m. Upon arriving, officers discovered one deceased individual inside the home and two others in a nearby outbuilding being used as a living space. The victims were identified as William Piechocniski, the homeowner, along with Dana Ramsden and Otis Hawks II.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, WCSD immediately enlisted assistance from the District Attorney General’s Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and Homeland Security. Investigators quickly began working leads that connected the crime to locations in Nashville and Memphis. Evidence recovered in both cities included property belonging to one of the deceased victims, which ultimately helped identify the suspects.
By Thursday, investigators had pinpointed the suspects’ whereabouts in DeKalb County. Jessica Root and Hannah Rose were located in Smithville, where Root was arrested without incident. Rose, however, attempted to evade arrest, striking a Homeland Security agent with her vehicle in the process. Shots were fired during the encounter, with District Attorney General Chris Stanford allegedly being the one who fired. Rose was eventually taken into custody.
The third suspect, Caleb Brookins, was apprehended following an intensive search by law enforcement.
Jessica Root and Caleb Brookins have been charged with three counts of criminal homicide and are being held at the Warren County Jail. Hannah Rose faces charges of felony evading arrest and aggravated assault in DeKalb County, where she is currently detained.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has launched an inquiry into the shooting incident involving Rose at the request of District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway. The investigation into the homicides remains active, with authorities continuing to piece together the events leading to the deaths of Piechocniski, Ramsden, and Hawks.
