Yaovi Magloire Guedoh Obituary, Death News – A fatal pedestrian accident in Calverton is under investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), following a deadly incident that occurred on the night of Friday, July 18, 2025.

Authorities have identified the victim as 52-year-old Yaovi Magloire Guedoh, a resident of Frederick, Maryland. According to officials, Guedoh was attempting to cross Columbia Pike when he was struck by a vehicle under circumstances that are still being examined.

At around 10:34 p.m., officers from MCPD’s 3rd District and emergency personnel from Montgomery County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of Columbia Pike and Tech Road after receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

Preliminary findings indicate that Guedoh was heading west across Columbia Pike when he was struck by a black 2020 GMC Terrain. The adult driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision and cooperated with investigators.

Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, Guedoh was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

The police have not yet determined all the factors that contributed to the crash, and the investigation remains active. The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is handling the case and is seeking assistance from the public.
