Authorities have confirmed that a police pursuit on Wednesday night concluded with a crash and the arrest of a suspect in Virginia Beach. The incident began on Interstate 264 when a Virginia State Police trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding.

According to officials, the driver of a Dodge Challenger was traveling at a high rate of speed near First Colonial Road around 9:21 p.m. When the vehicle did not pull over, a pursuit was initiated. The driver exited the interstate at Lynnhaven Parkway and continued into city streets before the situation ended at an apartment complex.

Police reported that the vehicle came to a stop after colliding with a structure near the Shoreline Apartments. The driver, identified as 30-year-old John A. Ramos of Chesapeake, was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.

Authorities stated that multiple charges have been filed in connection with the case, including traffic-related and other alleged violations. The suspect is currently being held at the Virginia Beach City Jail as the legal process moves forward.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. The case remains under investigation, and additional updates may be released as more information becomes available.
