Robin Kaye Obituary, Death: Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shootings of longtime “American Idol” music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, inside their home in Encino, California.

Kaye, who had been part of the “American Idol” team since 2009, and her husband were discovered dead on Monday afternoon. Police said the couple was found in separate rooms inside their San Fernando Valley home. A spokesperson for “American Idol” expressed heartbreak over the tragic loss, stating that Kaye had been a vital member of the production family, well-loved and respected by everyone she worked with. The show extended condolences to her loved ones during this difficult time.

Law enforcement officials believe the fatal incident took place the previous Thursday during a break-in. According to sources close to the investigation, the suspect reportedly entered the home through an unlocked door. When the couple returned and encountered the intruder, a confrontation ensued, leading to the deadly shootings. It remains unclear why the bodies were not discovered until several days later.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian, who resides in Encino. At the time of reporting, police had not released specific details about the circumstances that led to his arrest.

The LAPD responded to a call for a welfare check at the home located on White Oak Place, just off Ventura Boulevard, around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officers noticed a blood trail leading to the residence. They entered through a shattered glass door at the rear of the property and discovered both victims inside—each with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police said Kaye was found in the home’s pantry, while Deluca was located in a bathroom. Footage from NewsChopper4 showed the back sliding glass door broken, providing a possible entry point for the suspect.

Investigators are still working to determine the full timeline and motive behind the crime. While the suspect has been taken into custody, authorities have not confirmed whether anyone else was involved.

One neighbor, Amee Faggen, said her tenant had noticed someone jumping over a fence in the area last Thursday and called 911. However, Faggen noted that they hadn’t heard anything unusual since. Police dispatch records confirm that officers were dispatched to the home that Thursday afternoon for a prowler report. Responding officers arrived around 5 p.m., but reportedly found no signs of a break-in or suspicious activity at that time.

As of now, investigators are continuing to piece together what happened in the days leading up to the discovery of the victims. Additional information about the suspect or motive may be released as the investigation progresses.

This tragedy has shocked the community and left many mourning the loss of a couple described as kind and deeply respected, especially within the entertainment industry.
