Montgomery County authorities have identified a man found deceased Saturday at a senior living facility in Potomac, Maryland.
The victim has been named as 87-year-old Robert Fuller Jr., an attorney, author, and philanthropist with connections to Maine. Police confirmed that Fuller was found with a gunshot wound to the head, and detectives are investigating his death as a homicide.
Officers and fire rescue personnel responded to the Cogir of Potomac Senior Living facility, located on the 10800 block of Potomac Tennis Lane near the Falls Road Golf Course, after a medical emergency call around 7:34 a.m. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The facility’s Executive Director, Rachel Grant, informed residents and the community that safety remains a top priority. In a statement, she said the incident was isolated and there is no ongoing threat to residents or staff. Additional security measures and resources, including counseling, have been implemented since the weekend.
