Officials have identified the woman who died following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Cass County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred at an intersection when an SUV traveling eastbound attempted to make a left turn and collided with a westbound vehicle.
Investigators say the SUV was driven by 40-year-old Travis Grossman of Pillager. The westbound vehicle was driven by a 21-year-old man from Browerville. A passenger in that vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Taylor Wahnschaffe of Richmond, was pronounced deceased in the crash.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was transported to a hospital in Brainerd with injuries described by authorities as non-life-threatening.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Grossman and two children who were passengers in the SUV were not injured.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported and worked to secure the area while providing assistance. Traffic in the vicinity was temporarily affected as crews cleared the roadway and investigators documented the scene.
Authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash, including roadway conditions and other potential contributing factors. At this time, no additional details have been released.
